Port Ellen and Brora distilleries to reopen!
Diageo is looking to open cult distilleries Port Ellen and Brora. News that shocked many in the Whisky industry, especially those collecting these rare, old bottles. Diageo is investing £35m, with production scheduled to start again in 2020. I'd expect that Diageo is likely to breakeven in one to two years by producing 800,000 litres of alcohol a year.
